Yachting: Team NZ in second

Emirates Team New Zealand has moved up to second after three days of the Audi MedCup Cartagena regatta.

Three races in the TP52 yachts were held yesterday, with a light and shifty breeze which struggled to reach 10 knots.

With a fifth, fourth and a third finish, NZL380 is on 18 points, eight behind Britain's Team-Origin and one point ahead of third-placed Spanish syndicate, Matador.

While ETNZ are second in the regatta, they increased their lead on the season championship leaderboard to 40.5 points over Quantum Racing, of the United States.

They had a better day on the water than Quantum and Swedish outfit Artemis who both picked up 16 points, compared with NZL380's 12.

Artemis, who won the Barcelona regatta last month, slipped to fourth on the season leaderboard, allowing Team-Origin to slip past.

The team were to race again overnight.
